From Our Heart To Yours: A Message from the hearts of the Newberrys

Dear Friends,

We really love being parents, the joys are overwhelming.  We have three great kids, all girls, ranging from 16 years to 5 years.  We take parenting very seriously.

However, if you're like us, you wonder where the time goes.  Life is not a dress rehearsal, it's the real deal.  Family time is at an all time low in our busy society.  Our children are growing up whether we like it or not.  Being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs we will ever encounter.  It's our job to help our children develop into independant, respectable adults.  Getting our children ready for "REAL LIFE" is a scary and necessary job only we as parents can do. 

Parenting, what a tremendously rewarding job.  With all of the challenges, the giggles, finger paint, and the cell phone bills it is all worth it.  Things like watching your child overcome a challenge, making a right decision, the occasional "I LOVE YOU!!!" and the "Yes, Mom and Dad, you where right." is what keeps us going. We are now starting to prepare our oldest to . . . Leave Home For College!! Ouch!!

As our own family has grown we have discovered challenges such as:

• Peer Pressure / Bullies
• School Sports
• Academics
• Driving
• Dating
• Disappointments

We have developed our Martial Arts Programs with these life challenges in mind.  It is our goal to partner with our students and their parents to help prepare everyone for the challenges of life.

We strive to prepare our students in every area of SELF-defense, both physical and mental.  These self-defense programs include:

• Defeating The Bully
• Kids Safety N.E.T (Child Abduction Awareness)
• SHARP (Sexual Harassment & Rape Prevention)

I know of very few programs in which you can spend quality time with your children, get in shape, and become safer and more confident everyday. Best of all, your family will become closer and have many great times together.  We believe so much in our family program and want every family to experience it. Once you enroll the first two family members, the rest of the family is FREE!!!  We consider it a real privilege to watch each of our students grow up, grow safe and strong.
